Our solution to the few drawbacks to this item I bought this item for my adult special needs daughter and she loves it. There are a few drawbacks, as other reviewers have said.
I DO like it, but… I definitely think this is a cute toy but I have some issues. I like the different magnetic pieces that indicate different daily events….for example “go to the dentist” or “sunny day”. My problem is that you can go to the dentist ON a sunny day. The spaces for each day are a little too small so there’s not room to put more than one event. So when my son went to the library and the doctor on the same day and it was raining outside, we could only fit 2 things and even the 2 things didn’t…
Melissa and Doug Rule! We love the Melissa and Doug puzzles, so when my 4 year old daughter received the calendar for X-Mas, we were thrilled. We do “Calendar” every day. We bought this one for another little 4 year old as well. My only suggestion, put the calendar in a place that your child cannot reach it without help. There are ALOT of pieces that you don’t want to lose.
