It works very well and I found it very east to convert to dead rail and incorporated 4 X 18650 batteries in the tender. Everything works fine. Super little train! I bought this to replace a Harry Potter set that didn’t operate properly. This one works fine so far and is a very nice set for the price. I would buy again. The annoucements are OK for children, but a little purile for adults. The bell, whistle and locomotive sounds are very realistic and have good volume. All features have worked well including the couplings and remote. Can’t beat the price!
