Solid choice for a toy. Not a display. I guess due to my ignorance of toy trains I had my expectations set very high for a Lionel. This is a cool train. My son loves its. But the majority of it being plastic kind of turned me off as a buyer. If I had bought it at full price it would’ve been a return. All in all it’s solid. Wish there was a way to run it without sound.

Festive looking christmas decoration. Too loud. I have wanted a train set for under the Christmas tree for quite some time. This Lionel Christmas train fills the bill nicely. It is large enough to be noticed but small enough to look at home under a tree. It can be assembles as a circle or, by adding the included straight pieces, a boxy circle or an oval.
