My munchkin loves this set When I was examining my Amazon Vine list of offerings I skipped right by this set. After all, it’s a “building” set, and isn’t that for little boys? My munchkin’s my 4-year-old grandDAUGHTER; this couldn’t possibly be right for her.
For the K’nex fan or beginner, it’s a good choice K’nex are what you might consider the very complicated Lego. The pieces don’t quite lend themselves to free-flowing construction like a Lego set might, but that’s where this set steps up. The booklet inside gives you instructions for building several models, and includes a website where you can download the instructions to others giving you a grand total of at least 52 models to make. Just keep in mind these have to be taken apart before beginning the next one because there aren’t enough pieces…
For any creative child who likes hands-on projects This is not gender-specific, either girl or boy will enjoy this unique building set. The set is recommended for ages 7 and over, however even a younger child can enjoy this with assistance from an adult. In our family we tested this on one boy 5, and one girl 8, and they are really enjoying this. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. It comes with about 600 pieces, and little kits grouped together for various projects.
