In Isle bound, you take command of a ship and crew. You sail to island towns, collecting resources, hiring crew, and commissioning buildings for your capital city. Each building has a unique ability, and your combination of buildings can greatly enhance your strength as a trader, builder, or invader. You also recruit pirates and sea monsters to conquer towns, which, once conquered, allow you to complete the town action for free, and charge a fee to opponents if they want to use it. Alternatively, you can complete events that give influence, which can be used to befriend towns. Will you be a ruthless conqueror, careful diplomat, or shrewd merchant? The player with the most the most wealth and most-impressive capital city will win the game!.

A beautiful and fun adventure game The first thing that hit me and will probably hit most people about Islebound is that the game is absolutely beautiful. Ryan Laukat (who is the artist, game designer, and publisher) has an unique style that I would call whimsical. This style gives Islebound (and his previous game in the same “universe” Above and Below) a sense of adventure. Outstanding Game! I really think this game is a lot of fun! There are so many different strategies to lead you to victory against your friends that keep each play through interesting. The game can go on as long as you want because until someone builds enough buildings to end the game there are many things to do to try and surpass your opponents in renown. I also love the art of the game and the lore. Each event has a tiny story behind it. The game is beautiful and I highly recommend it as a relatively cheap…
