The Resistance: Avalon pits the forces of Good and Evil in a battle to control the future of civilization. Arthur represents the future of Britain, a promise of prosperity and honor, yet hidden among his brave warriors are Mordred’s unscrupulous minions. These forces of evil are few in number but have knowledge of each other and remain hidden from all but one of Arthur’s servants. Merlin alone knows the agents of evil, but he must speak of this only in riddles. If his true identity is discovered, all will be lost.

There are 1-2 bad guys, (or more – it depends on the amount of players,) and the rest of the group are good guys. Very fun game for anyone who is familiar with The Resistance.This game can replace basic “The Resistance” game but it can also play with special roles, transforming the game and increasing the difficulty if you want to. You can choose to play with no special characters, making the game exactly like the resistance. Maybe the BEST party game Avalon is one of the most fun party games I think I have ever played, and it’s a game that our group continually wants to see on the table. The special character cards (Merlin, Assassin, etc.) give it a bit of additional depth for when you group has a grasp on the basic mechanics, but even with them incorporated into the session the game is very easy to understand.
