Increased fun decreased game time Wisdom and Warfare adds to the fun and makes the game move faster. The new playable sides are different enough from the previous expansion and core game to be well worth it. Fantasy Flight has added another layer of strategy to the game that makes the individual turns a little longer. The changes seem to make the tech tree a lot easier to progress through. Adds a New Dimension to the Game It’s clear that this expansion is a response to frustrations players have expressed with Civilization — getting a Technology victory is more practical, battles are more interesting (and Germany doesn’t always win), and so forth. However, my family enjoyed it most because the new civilizations have intriguing characteristics that interact with those of other civilizations to broaden the possible outcomes.
