Get the Deluxe versions A year ago, I bought the original version and was immediately addicted. Yahtzee is a really fun game, however the dice are really cheap; the black paint in the number holes comes off easily and the dice themselves are too lightweight. My best advice to any future Yahtzee players is: buy either the Deluxe Edition or the Deluxe Game Folio Edition. The dice are better quality and the cups and playing trays each have felt lining so there’s less noise when you roll. Pencils are also included…

Quite simply, it’s a classic In addition to being fun, playing family games can be “quietly educational” (i.e., we know the kids are learning something, but it’s not the overt purpose of the interaction).
