AWESOME TRAIN FOR THE PRICE!!!! OK. Let me start by saying I have a 5 year old and an almost 2 year old who both love trains. We actually found this set in KMART today for ~ $15 and I snatched it up. I then looked it up on Amazon.com to see if we could by extra track for it. (I just emailed Toystate.com to inquire as well.) Anyway, I saw a lot of negative comments on here so I felt the need to add my own FAIR review.First, this is NOT an expensive train set with metal cars and a remote control. FYI: There is a larger version of this same set that costs close to $50 so keep in mind this review is for the smaller $15 motorized set, which size wise is what we wanted.QUALITY/DURABILITY: Yes, the train cars are plastic, but good solid plastic – nothing flimsy here. The track itself is also plastic, but solid plastic and creates about a 3×2 foot oval, a little on the smaller side, but that was fine for me because I wanted this as a cool travel toy to take with us.
