Babies love a friendly animal face to play with, but this monkey friend is much more than that. By connecting any of the 9 plastic gears on the different posts around his tummy, your little one can create a moving monkey machine with colorful lights, fun music, and silly sound effects. Each gear fits any post so that they can be connected and stacked whichever way baby can imagine. After connecting gears around the central gear, just press the center button to get them moving. And when the play is done for the day, place all of the gears right on the monkey toy for easy storage!

Hands-on exploration with the gears helps fine-tune those muscle movements! This includes grasping, placing, and stacking the gears, as well as sitting up to play. Hand-Eye Coordination: Aiming to place the gears on the posts or stack them helps improve baby’s accuracy. Cause & Effect: Pressing the center activation gear can help kids begin to understand basic cause and effect relationships.

Enchanted In Dixie "Enchanted" says:

Awesome monkey that teaches. Great for babies, toddlers and my Aspies, autistic teens loved this as much as me and the babes. This awesome toy teaches hand eye coordination, cause and effect and is just plain fun. It is not just for a baby. Safe for 9 months, but can be fun for any age that needs the stimulation or enjoys watching gears work (like my autistic teens), or likes monkeys. From stacking the gears to making them move it’s all good engineering.

Momoftwo says:

Interesting, yet overly loud My 8 month old and 4 year old both have really enjoyed this toy. I however found it to be joltingly loud. I ended up putting electrical tape over the speaker to dull the sound. The gears spin if you press a button, music and lights join in the fun. You can also spin the gears yourself. The gears are stackable, and my older child loved building a gear tower. The gears are durable, and large enough to be safe for mouthing. The edges are smooth and safe for babies. I think this is a great long…

Fritosgirl says:

Loud, but Cute! This is a fun manipulative that isn’t without a few quirks. Starting with the positives, this is cute, colorful little monkey. The concept is fun and it opens itself up easily to learning basic concepts like counting, sorting and patterning. The nine gears are large and removable. It looks and feels sturdily made and is sure to catch a young ones attention.
