Awesome puzzle! A favorite! My 2 yr old was so excited to see this puzzle. He threw a fit waiting for me to unwrap the clear plastic wrap it comes in. It actually is wrapped rather well so it took me a few minutes all the while he was trying to grab it out of my hands. He loves this puzzle. He even “pretends” with the pieces before handing them to me to use or he will put them in their slots. It is solid wood. Painted/coated very smoothly with no rough edges. Favorite of the grand kids I keep this and several other Melissa & Doug puzzles on our living room table and my grand kids go right to them every time they visit. They’re all under the age of 4 and it’s so nice to have things that are a “Yes” for them to handle when so many other things in the room are “No” things. They love to bring them to me and have me play with them and praise them as we name the shapes or objects and fit them into them into their places. Even the 1 1/2 year old can fit the pieces…
