Great Set for the Money We purchased this for our son for Christmas. He was going to be turning 2 in January. He loves Thomas, but it’s hard to justify those prices especially when you have other children to buy for. Needless to say, we have been very impressed with this set. It has a ton of track, you can set it up in many different configurations–I don’t think we’ve ever done the same thing twice! The bridge and tunnel are great additions. This is o.k. I usually like the “Melissa & Doug” brand as far as quality goes. What I like about this set is that it has a lot of interesting track configurations and it is largely wooden. The plastic is kept to a minimum. What surprised me was that the track and the trains don’t work that well together. The train wheels are wobbley and are too long even individually to stay on the track without often slipping off. Perhaps part of this is the grooves in the track are too shallow to grip the wheels?
