Cardboard? Really, Melissa & Doug?! Over the years, I’ve come to expect better quality products from this company. They usually utilize long lasting materials like wood and plastic, and provide a toy that stands up to the rigors of play that you would expect from a toddler. My 4 year old got this for her birthday, to compliment her new KidCraft Uptown Espresso Kitchen. Unfortunately the “cans” are made of cardboard and the lids/bottoms are plastic. My kids love these! Yes they are made of cardboard My kids love these! Yes they are made of cardboard, but they are very sturdy. Far more sturdy than most of that thin plastic play food I usually see that gets crumpled up almost immediately.
