The barn’s ok, the animals are terrible As my title states, the barn is fine–it’s a wooden structure that folds open with 6 separate areas/stalls. But the animals–the main thing for my animal-loving child–are horrible. The turkey, horse and goat can barely stand on their own (the horse would be shot he’s so unstable) and the sizes are all off. I luckily also got a Safari Farm Animal Toob and their animals are MUCH better–better looking and better made. Plus they’re labeled lead and phylate free, and since MD doesn’t label theirs…
Fell apart within 24 hours Very poor construction! My son received it for Christmas and really liked it, but it basically fell apart in his hands the next day when he tried to move it. All of the fasteners along the hinge tore out of the plywood with very little provocation — it’s no wonder, since they’re TINY and don’t penetrate very far into the edge of the plywood. Also, it’s worth noting that the plywood is kind of splintery and is not painted along the edges like it is in the promotional photos. Not sure what’s…
grandson I recently bought this toy for my grandson, who is two years old. I was afraid it would be too heavy and large for him to carry, but it is just right Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. My grandson enjoys setting up the animals in various positions and opening and closing the sliding doors. His favorite thing to do is to make a square with the fence and enclose all the animals, standing side by side. (This is quite difficult, as the fence is rather small). The barn and the animals seem…
