Easy and fun…once you get it out of the box When I think radio control, I envision servos, cranky wireless connections and radio equipment that only works part of the time. This car and the RC controller works right out of the box (after adding 2 AA batteries to the controller and 2 to the car.) I got this for a gift for my grandson, but I wanted to try it out to make sure it worked as advertised, and it does. In no time I was doing K-turns, spin-outs and general zippity moves along hardwood floors and over carpets. It would be a blast…

Not bad, but definitely for youngsters, only I wasn’t expecting much from this R/C car, and I wasn’t disappointed. In honesty, it’s a kid’s toy. Why do I say this? Well the throttle and steering wheel are pretty much on or off – no proportional control. This means you have very little control over speed – you’re all out or you’re stopped. The same thing holds true for steering control. It’s either hard over or straight. What this means is this little model is a bit hard to control and follow a desired path. I’ve tried to make a course…

3.5 Stars – Fun to Use But Only Average Features The Maisto RC Ferrari is very fun to use remote car. It is a 1:24 scale which makes it smaller than most RC toys I own. The detailing on the car is about average with nothing that really stands out. The remote is easy to use but the range is limited. Overall this is decent for the price but there are better options for a little more money.
