Machi Koro-expanded and improved I bought the base Machi Koro set about 1.5 weeks ago, and immediately liked the game. I wanted a city builder my family would play, and it was popular. The rules were simple, gameplay fast, setup and teardown easy, and there is enough of an attack mechanic with money exchanging hands to satisfy.

A very good, but not great expansion. I like the added fifth player, and the added difficulty of having to build two more landmarks to win. There are some great rebalancing cards in here as well. There are also some cards that might fit the theme, but just seem to take up space in the deck (has anyone used the “Sushi Bar” in play?) A very good, but not great expansion.

Makes Machi Koro even more fun! Machi Koro was an instant hit in our family, but after awhile it became a little repetitive. You could use the same strategy every time, which gets kind of boring if you play as often as we do (because it is still addictive fun).
