Instant favorite! Will buy again for gifts! My background is early childhood educ. so I love when I find a toy that’s not only unique but easily lends itself to learning and I LOVE these, I’d been eyeing them on amazon waiting for my currently 21 month daughter to be old enough they wouldn’t be a choking hazard. (I wasn’t absolutely sure from the reviews or pictures how big or chunky they would be). I ended up ordering them for someone else first and consequently keeping them, they are definitely large enough even for my daughter being not quite 2 and she adores them. Like most toddlers, she likes little things she can hold & carry around- these are interesting & different to her but unlike other things she gravitates toward, i don’t have it take them away for fear of her putting them in her mouth. She also already sorts them into different piles and attempts to string- making them great for early math & building fine motor- giving her something safe & fun to “string” when she gets there.
