If you have ever been in our Manitou Springs Colorado store this is the kit you saw in our front window. Build the Motorized Madness Ball Machine, a towering contraption full of building challenge and exciting performance! Towering over 4 feet high and featuring motorized lift and 3 exciting ball runs, the Motorized Madness is a builders dream. This set includes 2,004 colorful K’NEX pieces, new track system and 5 multi-colored balls. Follow the color-coded instructions to build this exciting ball machine step-by-step. Then switch the motor on to bring the model to life. The motorized ball lift continuously carries balls to the top of the tower, where they alternate down one of three different ball runs. The downward spiral sends balls down a dizzying ride to the bottom. The hammer drop transports the balls off the track and onto 2 swiveling elevators, and the funnel drop sends balls on an express ride straight to the bottom. Motorized Madness is appropriate for builders ages 9 & up. Requires 2 “AA” batteries.

K’nex are great – but don’t overpay My kids love K’nex and this is on their wish list for this year. . .but beware people selling it for $89+. The regular retail price at ToyRUs is $59.99, and I just got it on sale for $41 and some change, and they still had more in stock (not online, just in store).

It WORKS! This fantasmic Rube Goldberg type machine for a kid to build actually worked! Now it took a concentrated effort for my 9 yr old grandson to put it together over a couple of days, and a few fix-ups of thing at the very end, but it worked! For 2 weeks it stayed in the living room and was always fascinating to watch the pingpong ball-like spheres travel around the maze and fall down the various chutes. He did it on his own with minimal help, but I note that building things and reading the…
