Very Nice But Not Solid Wood I went back and forth between buying the Bright & Bold kitchen versus the more subtle, pastel KidKraft kitchen. The ONLY reason I went with the Bright & Bold set was due to the fact that it is advertised as “made of wood” while the pastel kitchen description notes it is made of composite wood. An Amazing Kitchen! My daughter is 7 years old and the challenge was finding a kitchen that wouldn’t be too infantile for her. She’s had a plastic outdoor kitchen since she was 2 years old and we got a lot of wear out of that kitchen but this year she asked for a new one. My daughter’s criteria for a new kitchen was for it to be wooden and have a phone. After much research, we settled on this KidKraft kitchen and presented it at Christmas. So very adorable, but very disappointed This is a super cute kitchen, and I gladly forked over its exorbitant price in order for my daughter to have the kitchen of her dreams. Unlike some reviewers, ours was missing zero parts, and in fact, had a few spare pcs left over. Four of the required screws had to be spray painted white, to match, but pcs were at least all there. Assembly time was about 2 – 2.5 hours.
