Not what I hoped for and NO MANNY! I was surprised at the material, the toys are sort of limp and aren’t stuffed with very much material, so they’re neither ‘plush’ nor ‘tool-like’.
You’ll need to do some sewing I write this as a warning to anyone considering giving these tools to a very young child. The eyes on Pat, Rusty, Dusty, & Squeeze are not sewn on well at all. Within 1 day, the eyes were coming off. I just got a needle and thread and sewed them back on tightly. As a precaution, I reinforced the stitching on all of the eyes. It doesn’t look as nice, but they’re not coming off now! My son is older, so choking wasn’t really an issue, but I can imagine how upset I would have been if he was a…
Perfect for younger children I do have to say that this toy is flimsy and could use more stuffing, but it was the perfect gift for my younger son (9mo) who loves Handy Manny as much as his older brother (2 and a half) who recieved the sturdier plastic version. My youngest can chew on it, hit himself with it….no damage! And my oldest was pleased that his brother was not chewing on his tool set! Overall I was pleased with my purchase, as were both of my children!
