The handle on the back is great for swooshing the Tugboat around in the water, and also helps pour water out of the front spout.

The molded detailing on the front of the 100% recycled plastic Green Toys Tugboat wheelhouse features the lettering “S. S. Green Toys,” along with a ladder, life preserver, anchor, lights, and horns. There are also five windows through which you can see the captain’s seat and steering wheel. The deck has simulated cargo net under the arching handle, which, when the boat is submerged, allows the hull to fill with water that then pours out the front spout.
Scoop and Pour Fun
This colorful yellow, red, and blue boat floats great, making it the perfect toy for water play in the tub, the pool, and even at the beach. It has a handle from the wheelhouse to the back deck and a wide-mouth spout at the front to scoop and pour water. The Little Tug That Could . . . Here is a perfect example of a simple toy of multiple uses. If you get only one bath toy… We purchased this tug boat for our almost three year old daughter and 18 month old son. It met and greatly exceeded our expectations. The front has a spout which you may not be able to clearly identify in the pictures. The back has a handle, and it doesn’t take a two year old to see that this will make for some pouring during bath time. 🙂
Great Toy Bought this for my 18 month old to use in the bathtub. I really thought it was like 5″ but when it came, I was pleasantly surprised by the size! It floats well, it’s fun to dunk it in the water and pour it out. The toy is well made and somehow faintly reminds me of its past life as a milk jug! And LOVE the fact it’s safe and made in the US!
