Recently stripped of your possessions, your group of down-on-their-luck adventurers has nary a copper piece between you. Your only option if you’re to resume your dungeon-delving activities is to sack the local mall of valuables and supplies. Magic Maze is a real-time,co-operative game. Each player can control any of the 4 Hero pawns whenever he wants in order to make that hero perform a very specific action, to which other players do not have access: move north, explore a new area, ride an escalator…all of this requires rigorous co-operation between the players in order to succeed at moving the heroes wisely, and complete your mission before the sand timer runs out. Moreover, you will only be allowed to communicate for short periods during the game. The rest of the time, you must play without giving any visual or audio cues to each other.

Great game for family gatherings or board game nights! Appeals to non-hardcore gamers and veteran board gamers alike. This is a really fun game; definitely recommend. I first saw this game at GenCon in August. Basically, Magic Maze is a co-operative multiplayer board game that can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 8 players. You’re all working to move four pieces around a shopping mall, eventually positioning each token in a store that corresponds to its color. Once all the tokens are in place, the tokens “rob” their stores all at once. Then, players work to try to get all the pieces out of the mall…

Fun for experienced and occasional gamers Such a fun game to play with a good group of friends. The perfect amount of strategy and high-paced fun that is ideal for those who may not play games that often but also keeps experienced gamers engaged. I love the free-form set up to this game and after playing a few times where everyone was allowed to talk I got the hang of this style of game and now I will never go back.

Get it if you like fun games that are hard to win but easy to understand. Fun game, easy to recommend; comes with 17 different scenarios that ramp up in difficulty as they teach you more advanced rules. VERY replayable, especially when you can play with 1-8 people.
