Fun, Educational, and Just Cool! My boyfriend and I had a lot of fun helping his 6-year-old son build the “igloo” fort that he picked out from the examples on the box. As we built together, we talked to him about the angles and shapes that we were using to make up the structure. The finished product was large enough for him to play inside quite comfortably and sturdy enough for him to stand in the middle and lift the whole frame over his head without anything coming apart. Great product, but will be hard for most without adult guidance First of all, I would NEVER pay the $45 Amazon is asking for this product. I got it for $10 from Michaels and base my review off of a $10 product, not a $45 one. That said, this fort was exactly as it was advertised. I have an 8 1/2 year old daughter and a 5 1/2 year old son and neither were able to build a fort that would stay together. The rods are very difficult to put into the holes (and get them to not fall out) and there was no way they were figuring out how to do the angles…
Great STEM Toy/Activity I agree with several other reviewers here that the number of poor reviews is baffling. I’m sure, as with most mass produced products, there are sets that end up with defects and those bad reviews I understand, but so many of the reviews seem to be complaining more about the fact that they actually have to get involved with their kids and help them put it together. To actually have to play with or help your child…oh, the humanity!
