Turns out, that is very true. I would add a little of Mage Knight as well (using your cards as “currency” for all your actions). So, if you are a fan of any of those then this game is a must buy (Kemet and Nexus Ops are two of my top 10 so it was a no brainer).
Portal knocked this one out of the park! Residing in the same eschelon as Blood Rage, Kemet, and Cyclades, this light-to-medium-weight war game is full of highly strategic euro designs fused with some of the finest Amerithrash elements I’ve seen in a designer board game.
