A must-play for board game lovers! Having finished a first night learning and playing this game, I can say with no doubt that this will be a favorite if it becomes a staple of my game group. Play is simple enough to keep things moving without bogging down, yet the mechanics are varied enough to carve out different paths to win.
A great combination of skill and strategy… With dice! You get your bang for your buck with this baby. The dice are a great addition. They supplied you with a good amount of cards, tokens, and dice, but not enough to make it confusing. It’s a good game with simple and fun elements that can be taught and remembered easily. The artwork is beautiful and unique for every card. This is definitely a smart buy for any casual or hardcore gamer. Also, it’s 3 bucks cheaper than it was at gen-con, so… it’s a deal!
Awesome fun and great replay value! Excellent light-medium weight game where you have something to do every turn. Gameplay is fast and feels purposeful. Even with dice-rolling being the main mechanic, it never feels like you are a victim of probability. On top of all that, the artwork is gorgeous and so are the dice. It plays well with 2 and even better with 3 or 4. My fiancé and I love this game and we very happy to preorder. To me, it’s like a fusion of Splendor and Smash Up…sounds weird but it works so well.
