One Expansion with Five Modules that adds replay value and new paths to victory I generally don’t get to play a lot of bluffing games, and I think it’s primarily because of the two gaming groups I belong too. MANDITORY but mixed bag of an expansion! Merry Men is a very mixed bag (no pun intended! 🙂 ) for me! On the one hand, the expansion is all but MANDITORY because of two of the six modules. These two modules fix Sherriff of Nottingham’s biggest design flaw (i.e. it’s too easy to win by playing 100% honest and a somewhat weak theme). We really only use the extra player and deputy stuff— everything else in their expansion is just ok The extra player is well received and should have been in the original, even if yes, it make the game longer. The deputy rules are interesting and do help to shorten the game for larger playercount. Everything else in this really is kind of superfluous and makes the game a bit more fiddley than wanted. If you have played Sheriff a ton already and want some variety or really need that extra player then this one is worth it; otherwise hold off until you really feel like you need the mix it up.
