7 Wonders for two the way it was meant to be Quick take: The original 7 Wonders is well known for being a great 3-7 player game, though it struggles with a tedious variant for 2 players. 7 Wonders: Duel takes this 2 player criticism head on with brand new game mechanics, but keeps the spirit of the original game intact.

Decent 2 player game. Bought this game, as it gets harder to find enough people to play the full size 7 wonders when we want to play. I do like it. I will play it. But I wish there were another vehicle for choosing cards. Too many times during each age, there has only been one choice of card to pick up, as it has been whittled down, either trying to block the opponent or strange cards showing up. I miss the availability of drafting, but I’m glad they found a way to make a 2 player game with a game we all know…

I love the original 7 Wonders game I love the original 7 Wonders game, and I’ve played with nearly all of the expansions. Each expansion seeks to fix (minor) problems in the original game. This one seeks to tackle a bunch of them head-on, but most obviously helps fix the poor 2-player variant of the original.
