A large set at good price I bought this set for my 3-yr-old daughter who already had a starter kit w a different company. This set works well with the other set. My daughter is excited she has so many pieces she could build different kinds of tracks in various shapes. A good price for a large set. Only thing that’s stopping me from giving this a 5-star stamp is that some pieces are hard to put together for my daughter. I had to help at times.
Best way to start My son is a train fanatic. He says so himself, and I’m not sure I can disagree. The big problem with train sets is that there’s an annoying number of standard, and some of them (but not all), are cross compatible. We ended up with two different non-compatible sets.
Not all pieces fit. I got this set to go with the kid craft mountain top set my daughter got for Christmas. This set says it should fit other train sets but some of the pieces are too tight.
