3-wheels but tips over a lot… Bought this for my 2.5 year old. He is crazy about motorcycles.Although it has 3 wheels, the little guy falls over on it a lot. My 4 year old does pretty good on it but he falls over sometimes too. As long as you have some straight away real estate to work with it is good. Transitioning from the sidewalk to the grass is an adventure.
