The category could be: “Food or Drink”, “Object or Thing”, “Living Creature”, “Something in the House”, “Boy’s or Girl’s Name” and “Any Word”. Then it’s off to the races! In each round, players write down a qualifying word on their game sheet. Everybody who forms a word moves forward, but longer words give you more spaces on the board and earn more points. Includes game board, sand timer, spinner, game pads, game pieces, dice, pencils and instruction sheet.Think you can come up with a girl’s name containing the letters “Q” and “Y” in 60 seconds? Or a food or drink using “H” and “J”? There will truly be times when Wordplay for Kids will be anything but child’s play. Designed for players 6 to 12 years, this combo of word building and racing to the finish line invites youngsters to come up with the longest word they can in order to gain the most spaces on the board. The enclosed rules are simple and, with one exception, easy to understand (you may want to adopt a house rule clarifying whether or not the word must begin with one of the two spun letters, or merely contain it). And it’ll probably take only one fight between the player who composed “Patty” and the “Patricia-Elizabeth” wordsmith, before you’ll want to outlaw the use of hyphens. cool game, even for adults i like the simplicity of this game where it does not take me 30 minutes to explain it to a new player. even for adults it’s fun and challenging at times, depending on what letters you got to make word. i like this brand of games and have Stare and Wit’s end which i like as well.
Great family game! This is a great game! My son loves playing this game with his dad and I. It helps him with spelling and expanding his vocabulary. For any parent that has kids struggling in spelling and vocabulary, I recommend this game in helping your kids have fun in those areas.
Makes Children Think I purchased this game from Amazon for my 10 year old grandson and he and his friends love it!Some of the subjects are extremly challenging although everything does depend on the letters that you get.I would definitely recommend this game to enhance learning and to encourage children to extend their thinking skills.They also are able to learn new words from their friends.
