My kids love this but one side has a hole that was … My kids love this but one side has a hole that was not made far enough down. We got the post in but after a week of playing on it (10m and 2yrs so not an older heavier child) a piece of the wood chipped where the post was too high. We will probably just wood glue it back on. All other sides had holes made a bit further down so I don’t think it will happen on any other sides.
Great for a budget rocker, but could be better Easy to put together and seems sturdy. There is absolutely no way that it seats 4 children in the boat as the item description states though. There are wooden fowls in the center that make it inconvenient for just one child to use also. It would be nice if he could sit in that center spot like I’ve seen in other rocking boats. The step platform is great for my 13 month old that loves to climb.
I’ll set it outside when we have a sunny day and hope for the best. I’m not going through the hassle of sending … Had a musty odor. I thought it was just the box and packaging materials so I assembled it. The actual boat/rocker has the smell also. Cleaned with vinegar and water solotion. Let dry and then cleaned with Murphys oil soap. Still lingering. I’ll set it outside when we have a sunny day and hope for the best. I’m not going through the hassle of sending it back so I’ll keep working on the problem. May use thieves oil next. The actual boat is built well enough to serve the purpose for 1-2 chikdren…
