Not really as an extension for the train set If you have the train set and want to use this to extend that set this is not a great choice.The original tracks have small groves which give traction to the train but these ones are flat so the train gets stuck on the corners and other pieces and you have to push it for it to keep going.
Great addition to vtech go-go wheel track sets My 3 year old son has all of the go-go wheel tracks (train set, garage, airport, racetrack, fire department). Once we put them all together they simply would not all connect due to the shortage of pieces. So I scored two sets of these tracks for $13 each on Amazon and now they are all connected and look great! I even have several pieces left over if he wants to change up the look of everything. I do suggest getting two sets though if you have all the tracks to make sure everything will connect.

It also does not have the ridges for the RC car to catch on to make it stay on the track. The only way to make this set work with the Ultimate Speedway is to place a Speedway track after any Deluxe track bend. The higher edges on the Speedway…
