New favorite game but it IS confusing to learn how to play The rules are really hard to follow and understand if you don’t already know how to play the game, which I didn’t when I bought this, but then I looked up videos in Youtube and found Rahdo’s playthrough of The Pursuit of Happiness (which is about an hour long but worth it). I really reccommend that the makers of the game release an official video or link to a video like Rahdo’s and print it on the manual as an alternative to reading the instructions (because there are 16 total pages of it and…

A relaxing competitive game?? Played this a few times (both solo and in groups) and it works very well. One area that this game really shines in is for people not into competing for points and are in it to have a life they just want to imagine they are in. It is almost “multiplayer solitaire”, so no one is upset if people play hard for points (or not).

Theme is Totally Worth It Phenomenal game solely b/c of the “Build Your Life” theme. If not for the redemptive quality of telling a story over a lifetime, this game would be a lifeless (pun intended) generic worker placement game.
