Study at Home Mama says:

Didn’t work as a rainstick Traditional rainsticks have cactus needles inserted into the body to help create a trinkling noise as the beads fall down the shaft — and this rainstick had no resistance so beads just feel from one end to the other in a big (unmusical) clump.

Alicia Betts says:

Beautiful rain stick. Perfect for any classroom. This rain stick is beautifully made; sturdy, smooth and pretty. I bought it for my classroom of 1 year olds and it’s held up so far through banging, dropping, drool and more. I gave the product 4 stars because I do wish that it made a little more noise, but it’s short so I guess there’s only so much you can put in it. I also deducted because the bar code sticker that was put on it has left a residue that I can’t seem to remove & makes the stick tacky right where you hold it.

Ariya says:

Colors are different I didn’t realize that the shortness would effect the sound. It works more as a shaker than a rainstick. I’m glad it’s only for my 18mo old because she enjoys just shaking it. The color for the yarn is different than pictured, must be a random color thing. Thankfully due to its cheapness none of this matters mich, which is why it gets 3 stars.
