We LOVE Melissa and Doug Toys! To start I have two year old boy girl twins both on the ASD spectrum. I am constantly looking for toys to satisfy one or the others needs. I was looking for lacing toys that would also spark interest to get them to do the lacing. As both my children love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse this did the trick. I caught their attention by the images and they cooperated with the lacing, even though it was challenging. Love this item Love this item. Bright colors, solid! It’s well sanded so there are no rough, wooden edges. The strings are sturdy enough for threading through the holes but small and smooth enough to allow succes with a challenging skill.
Great tactile toy! I got these for my 2.5 year old daughter, and after showing her a few times how it works, she enjoys doing it by herself. She is really into Mickey Mouse and Friends these days, so she loved seeing all the characters and naming them as she picks them up. Both the cards and the strings are very sturdy and good quality.
