Not as good as Melissa & Doug Cutting Food Box! I was so excited to see this Wooden Cutting Fruit Crate because my older daughter and niece have the old Cutting Food Box but since we are gluten free the fruit seemed like a nice addition for the little kids. Unfortunately it is not nearly the same quality. The pieces don’t seem to fit together as snuggly and the velcro isn’t as strong so it is more as if the fruit falls apart instead of the cutting sensation the first set has. Also the wooden food itself doesn’t feel as substantial/heavy…
Just a fluke? We have a lot of Melissa and Doug toys. The cutting food set is my daughter’s favorite toy so I bought this set to go along with it. We just brought it home from store and I am so disappointed! Some of the velcro pieces are sunken into the wooden holes and so they barely “stick” together. The cantelope holds together by just a few strings. One of the velcro pieces on the orange is a piece from the end or side of a roll? It only has velcro on half of the piece, the rest is just material…
