Buy something else… My kids use my old Lionel set from when I was little. The engine and cars are great, but the old style tracks kept derailing the engine. I decided to get them this Lionel set before Christmas so they could put it under the tree, it arrived yesterday. I wanted a genuine Lionel with the Fastracks and this one seemed real nice. It came VERY well packaged in a three layer box. The Fastracks were VERY difficult to connect. I tried to let my 8 and 10 year old boys assemble it but they couldn’t…
Almost Great! Purchased this to put around our Christmas tree and for our grandson to enjoy in the coming years. The only major problem we have with the set is that the couplers do not work the way they are designed to function. The train cars do not stay coupled, I tried the hint that was given online about putting a slight bend in the release tab but that did not work. I finally wound up using a very fine pieces of twist tie on each coupler to hold the release tab in place this solved the decoupling…
