This is a big waste of money This is a big waste of money. The trains are poorly made and the tracks are plastic and thin . I would not recommend this set to anyone. We bought this set for our 3 year old son to have a set of his own that is battery operated. We did this because he loves our Lionel set under the tree so much he needed a set to play with all year long. This was not the set. The trains broke. They are flimsy and cheap.
