Not sure whether tense survival co-op, or hilarious “guess my affliction” party game Mountains of Madness is a cooperative game that requires players to manage their equipment and sanity in order to escape the Edge of Madness with a number of arcane relics greater than the number of injuries to the team.

and I)absolutely loved this. The madness cards were our favorite part … We (my husband, 15 year old daughter, and I)absolutely loved this. The madness cards were our favorite part of the game, even though at the end we could barely communicate during the encounter phase.

Underwhelmed by this game There was a lot of hype for this game, and when we finally played it I felt completely underwhelmed. The game cards and components are good quality and the madness actions might work best at a home party and maybe with some booze. I played this with some seasoned board game people and none of us were overly impressed. There is a lot going on in this game and usually we are big fans of IELLO games.
