It is very sturdy. I’m always telling my daughter to get off … Just about everyone who has come to my house and seen this table has purchased one for their own kids. I got this chair desk to use as a food table for my toddler soon after her first birthday because my little climber would not stay in her high chair. Very early on she began wiggling out of her seat belts and I was really scared for her safety. Great buy! Both of my daughters love this desk. It is huge! We bought this for our big, almost 2 year old who is currently 33-34 in.s and 30 lb.s. She just fits in it without it looking too big for her. My 8 year old, 48 in.s, 55 lb.s daughter fits in it perfectly. Also, both of my girls can squeeze in together and sit and eat a snack (I don’t know how they do it!). Beware of hardware issues Cute and feels sturdy… but the hardware is complete garbage. Broke when trying to put it together and had to go out and buy my own! This was after trying to figure out what these are even called (cam locks and nuts, if you need to know). The manufacturer doesn’t offer email communication, initially was going to contact them for replacement hardware, but who has time to call during business hours?! Overall it’s a nice piece, but the hardware is disappointing .
