The best game you’ve never heard of Cyclades is simply amazing. How this game hasn’t gotten into the mainstream with others like Small World, Catan, or even Scrabble is beyond me.
True to its Theme Cyclades is a hybrid game. It has various elements of typical Euro-style games, such as area control, an auction mechanic, and city building, while also having some typical “Ameri-trash” elements such as dice (for the battles) and lots of plastic miniatures.
