How can you not love a game about building castles? We host a weekly games night, and have over 200 games on the shelf. I mention this to let you know that when I review a game, I have some exeperience with games. We all have different tastes in games, so I will try to let you know why I have the opinion that I do about a game.

A Likely 2015 Spiel des Jahres Nominee – (Okay, so maybe not, but… see edited review) While it might be early to predict a nomination that’s typically announced in May, I’d be very surprised if this doesn’t land one. It’s got everything I want as a gamer (challenging choices, player interaction, nice components, great theme), while also being accessible to “non-gamers” or novices to euro/designer/strategy games.

Medieval Tetris…where to put the dungeon….. Awesome board game. Have had great fun playing this one. Easy to learn but has a good deal of strategy for all players. Building castle floor plans is fun as you try to figure out how to optimize your points/budget/room connections. Highly recommend for 1-4 players.
