Just annoying. The playing surface itself seems to be of … There are two things that frustrate me about this game: One, you can never get rid of the cardboard box it came in. If the board was slightly thicker, it could be its own box, and overall, be a little more compact. But instead you have to store the pieces in a zip-loc bag forever and hope none get lost because no extras were included. Two, the surface is very slippery. It’s not that we’re playing on a hill, but it seems as if you don’t set the pieces down slowly and deliberately,…

Disappointed this board looked ok when we received it. However, when attempting to actually play, we realized the pieces don’t stack…so good luck being “kinged.” This basically makes it unplayable unless we find our own system to modify or mark the pieces so we can play. A game as simple as checkers should work out of the box. Even more disappointing, the board arrived warped and within a couple weeks developed a large crack, which is not only annoying to look at, it’s pretty much impossible…

Great board crummy checkers I bought this to teach my grand daughter how to play checkers. I liked the idea of a wooden board and checkers something a little better then the card board one I had 65 years ago.The board it’s self is not bad but the quality of the checkers leaves a lot to be desired. The ribbing on the checkers are not deep enough to interlock letting them slide around when kinged. I will have try and find a set of plastic set and use the board.
