Works well for a child who’s not too big. We purchased the John Deere Foot to Floor Tractor for our 2 yr. old nephew and it’s perfect for him. It’s a good fit and it’s so light weight that he has no problems riding it. Although the tractor is rated for children up to 60 lbs, it’s really too small for most kids older than 4 years.
Okay . . . Could Be Great This tractor is okay, but with a $10 and 15 minute modification it is great. When we received the item it was much smaller than we anticipated and the back wheels were in a spot that prevented our 18 month old from really propelling himself forward comfortably. On the small side, but still fun for the appropriate age group… I purchased this for my 2 yr old & I was surprised at how small the tractor was once it arrived. I feel that the age range the manufacturer uses is off. The toy would be too small for most two year olds… ages 12-18 mths would be ideal. Since my son was too big for it, we gave it to my nephew for his first birthday and he loved it. So we were able to see that it is a fun and functional toy with a simple design & easy for little ones maneuver (as long as they are the appropriate size/age).
