Wonderful for 2 and up! I got these for my 2.5 year old for Christmas, and he can string them totally independently, so we’ve been expanding the learning through matching (I string a string and he tries to match it), patterning, color recognition, etc.
Melissa & Doug disappoints with these lacing beads Pros:
The beads come in a very nice wooden box for storage The beads are rough inside. That may be by design, it does keep them on when the little one drops his end. However, the feel of the lace over the rough insides puts my teeth on edge when I’m helping him. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all.
