Vibrant colors, non-toxic materials I work with children and this dish set is great for both boys and girls. The colors are bright and the plastic is durable. No sharp edges on any of the dishes or utensils. Even a 1 year old took to this set immediately. She was drawn to the colors and the pieces were easy to grasp. The teapot lid does come off, so the teapot can be filled with water. This is a great addition to kitchen play sets and for pretend tea parties. Cute and Safe Cute set. I was concerned about the plastic quality since I’m sure the kids will actually use them to eat and drink from, and it isn’t specified on Amazon. I contacted Educational Insights and their response was: “All of our products are non-toxic, phthalate-compliant, lead-compliant, BPA compliant, proposition 65 compliant, no mercury and comply with U. S. safety laws.” Hope that helps. I am happy with my purchase.
Dishes Set by Educational Insights I like this play dishes set. The plastic is slightly flexible so not the kind that breaks if it falls on a hard floor. The measurements of the set are as follows: plates 5 3/8″ diameter; saucers 4″ diam.;cups 2 1/4″ diam., 1 7/8″ high; teapot 4 3/8″ high, and theutensils 4 1/2″ long.
