My 5 year old’s favorite game My son loves dinosaurs, so this game was a no brainer. It’s fun enough for adults to play, goes fairly quickly, and building the volcano is pretty cool. I’m a huge fan of most Peacable Kingdom games and I would definitely recommend this one.
The mechanics are great and there is a way to adapt the rules … This was a gift for my three-year-old nephew who LOVES this game. His parents are board game enthusiasts and he loves dinosaurs, so I knew the premise would be a hit. The mechanics are great and there is a way to adapt the rules to allow for different ability levels. The artwork and sturdiness of the board are both great, and add a lot to the actual play of the game. Kudos to this company for this one!
Kid loves it, but very easy to win We have a lot of Peaceable Kingdom games. Dinosaur Escape is probably our three (almost four) year old’s favorite. It’s cute, and well made, but I took off a star because it’s way too easy to win. We had to make up several house rules to make it more interesting (dinos can only search in the area they are in, each player only moves one dino, if you turn over a T-Rex, you shuffle all the fern tiles up and redistribute). Even then we still win nearly every time. Oh well, the kid loves it.
