Parts not interchangeable I am a huge fan of Melissa and Doug REAL WOOD toys, and over the years have bought almost everything they make. I bought two of these this spring; they are not up to the usual standard. The yellow bolts, nuts and cubes do not engage well, and the yellow bolts cannot be used with any other color nut; they don’t actually work at all in the other colored nuts or blocks. They are also slightly smaller than the other colors and seem to be have been made by a different supplier. So they don’t…

Not what I expected I own what I assume is an older version of this product and wanted to replace some of the worn pieces. When I saw the new product the differences were apparent immediately. You can review my pictures and make your own conclusion. I am changing my review to 3 stars in order to remain as neutral as the Amazon system will allow, neither good nor bad, you need to decide for yourself.

Not what I had hoped for I ordered this and the “Take Along Tool Kit” but the some of the screws don’t fit into the screw holes. Whether or not the sets are meant to be used together I don’t know, but I’m disappointed and it makes it frustrating for the kids.
