Escape: Quest includes two new expansion modules – Quest Chambers and Character abilities – for Escape: The Curse of the Temple that can be used individually or combined with any other modules for the base game. Quest module: In addition to activating gems, players now need to complete special quests before they can leave the temple. At set-up the quest tiles are shuffled separately, and 1-3 of them are then shuffled (unseen) into the deck. This means you never know what challenges you will face. Character module: Each player plays one of six different characters: Doc, Mechanic, Discoverer, Dark Priest, Muscleman, Mentalist. Each character comes with two unique abilities, and at the start of the game you pick one.

Well worth the money if you already enjoy the game If enjoy Escape but it has become a little bit too predictable, then this is an excellent addition to throw curve-balls during each game. If you have the Illusions expansion, then you already have one quest (the chalice) to get a rough feel for what the additional quests are like. However, the fact that the players don’t know which quests are going to appear makes a big difference (much more player communication and decision making).

Best when played with friends If the game is to easy for you. This is for you!If Y0U just want to make the game different. This is also for you! This game has two different expansions. One of which you have special powers, the other of which you have to unlock specific things to get out of the place.

Great expansion to a fun game Picked this up after having friends and family fall in love with Escape. This expansion is nice because it adds some variety to the players in giving them different skills, I will warn that it can make a base game of escape a bit too easy since now you have people who can unlock multiple die for anyone in their room but if you find yourself unable to win a vanilla game this may be good.
