Great addition to Pirate outfit For what it is, this spyglass is quite nice. I wanted a small spyglass for my pirate garb and I to be able to fit it in a pouch on my belt. This one measures in at about 6 inches once it is fully extended. Even at just 6 inches it still magnifies quite a bit. I can stand in the kitchen and read fine print on my son’s piano book sitting out in the living room. (Haven’t tried it outdoors yet.) I’m happy with it! Real wood, real metal, no plastic = tremendous! In a time where 99% of toys are plastic and cartoony, this spyglass is a great find! We gave it to my 4 year old nephew along with some other realistic pirate gear, and he loved it! It obviously doesn’t have great optics, but it does actually zoom and extends like one would imagine, standing on the bow of a pirate ship, looking for victims. The real wooden box is an added bonus.
Absolutely amazing telescope! Must-have product!! I couldn’t believe how great this telescope was when we received it. It was a Christmas gift for my three year old son, but it’s nice enough that you could get it for practically anyone. The box it comes in is beautiful and such a nice addition. The telescope itself works perfectly. The more you extend it, the more zoom you get. It’s a weighty little thing, but not so heavy that it’s at all difficult or awkward to use, even in my son’s tiny hands. The quality is just unbelievable for the price…
